Our next stop, Kenwood Winery.  Here we got a real special treat of having lunch at a great restaurant down the street (unfortunately I can't remember the name, must have been the wine!) with the winemaker Patrick Henderson!!  After lunch we returned to the winery where Patrick gave us a tour and we enjoyed another wonderful tasting.  Lunch with the winemaker and private tours and tastings was definately the biggest perk of working for a wholesaler!!

Kenwood Winery

After Kenwood we traveled on to Valley of the Moon.  Valley of the Moon Winery has been in operation longer than any other winery in the area, it has been operated as a winery since 1863.

Valley of the Moon Winery

When we left Valley of the Moon we drove over to Korbel, we didn't get there in time to tour the winery, but we did stay at the cutest cottage in the middle of the vineyard where they left us a bottle of every flavor they make so we were able to have our very own private tasting!

Korbel

Korbel is located in the heart of the Russian River Valley and was establised in 1882.  Korbel has more than 2000 acres and grows a variey of grapes including Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, and Pinot Noir.  There is a rose garden on the grounds that has more than 250 varieties of antique roses!

My husband in front of the cottage we stayed in at Korbel that was in the middle of the vineyard!
